BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS
PICCADILLY LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND
Further to previous correspondence, all RMT Piccadilly Line Train Operators, Night Tube Train Operators and Instructor Operators are congratulated for their solidarity during the last round of strike action from Wednesday 26th to Saturday 29th September which brought the Piccadilly Line, including Friday night tube, to a standstill.
Following this action, RMT met LU management at ACAS but regrettably these talks were once again unproductive. This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee, which noted that talks at ACAS have been fraught and management continue to show contempt by their seeming inability to address the issues at the heart of this dispute. Also that the unanimous view expressed by members at a joint branch meeting is for further action to focus Company minds into providing a meaningful resolution to this dispute.
The NEC has therefore taken the decision to call on you and your colleagues to take strike action by not booking on for any shifts that commence between:-
• 12:00 hours on Wednesday 7th November 2018 and 12:00 hours on Thursday 8th November 2018
I am sure you will all show the same support for this action as previously demonstrated and I will of course keep you advised of all further developments.
STAND FIRM TOGETHER – SUPPORT THE STRIKE
UNITY IS STRENGTH
