Dear RMT Member
CHANGES TO TIMETABLE – CROSS COUNTRY
Last week I advised that the Union had been made aware of a communication from Cross Country to its stakeholders regarding a timetable change covering 13 weeks from 10th August to 9th November, which was without consultation with your Union.
Your Lead Officer has since met with the company and following negotiations has successfully pressed the company into reversing their decision to impose widespread changes across members rosters.
The company have agreed that members booking on/off time will be protected as originally agreed, with the company proposing the following:
- LTP diagrams unaffected by timetable change – normal arrangements apply
- Colleagues who are spare in the link will be rostered to turns in line with normal arrangements.
- Colleagues who have a turn cancelled or amended in line with the resilience timetable will become “Available Time/ Fixed Spare” and will be allocated work on the day (with their original LTP on/off times protected).
- It should be noted that where engineering work is taking place, usual STP arrangements will apply
The Union’s National Executive Committee has considered this matter and congratulated members on the pressure applied to Cross Country, which has forced management to reverse this imposition and reconsider these reckless plans.
RMT will continue to monitor the situation and I will continue to keep members advised of any further developments.
Yours sincerely
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
