Dear RMT Member
Changes to Timetable – Cross Country
Yesterday, the Union became aware of a communication from Cross Country to its stakeholders regarding a timetable change covering 13 weeks from 10th August to 9th November. I immediately wrote to the Company to express our dismay and disappointment that the Union was not notified at all, let alone consulted on these changes.
Members are obviously concerned about the impact this will have on your rosters and working arrangements as well as understandably furious to have heard about it in the media.
I have informed Cross Country that its actions are further damaging to industrial relations between us. I have written to the Department of Transport to highlight this gross inefficiency at Cross Country and have demanded that the Company issue an urgent apology and explanation to all traincrew regarding this complete failure of communication which, unfortunately, seems to be becoming ever more frequent.
At the time of writing, Cross Country has acknowledged my letter and I will of course keep you advised of all further developments.
Yours sincerely
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
