Dear RMT Member,
CHANGES TO WORK LOCATIONS AND ADDITIONAL WORKLOADS (PROJECT LEAN) – ABM (LUL)
Earlier this week, the RMT Assistant General Secretary John Leach and your Regional Organiser Glen Hart met with ABM to discuss this dispute and I am pleased to report positive developments from this meeting. Any member who has had the number of stations they work on increased from 2 to 3 as a result of Project Lean will be contacted by the Company regarding a review of their workload. By the 8th March, these reviews will have taken place and the aim is to have the process finished by 29th March.
A meeting will take place with your Reps at the end of January to explain the above in more detail and so they can assist you with the review process if necessary.
The National Executive Committee has considered this matter and taken the decision to cancel the current ballot for industrial action over this matter. All members are congratulated for standing firm together to win this review of any increased workloads.
Going forward, ABM has committed to working in line with our Collective Bargaining Agreement to resolve any issues which may arise in the future. I will keep you advised of any further developments.
Yours sincerely
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
