COMPANY INVESTIGATION & MONITORING OF MOBILE PHONES – AVANTI WEST COAST

 

The RMT is aware that Avanti West Coast are conducting a major investigation, following leaked documents to the media about ‘free (taxpayers) money’ and that some of our Train Manager grade members are to be interviewed because they were accidentally sent the presentation. The Union is also aware that the company is removing mobile phones from staff and returning them without the SIM cards.

 

I must advise you that this matter is currently being dealt with at the highest level within the Union and as soon as there are any further developments on the situation, I will report back to you and your colleagues.

 

In the meantime, I can assure you that if any RMT member is affected by this issue or subjected to a disciplinary, then the Union will do everything within our means to protect and defend our members.
