Dear RMT Member,

 

DEFEND JOBS, PAY AND CONDITIONS (DRIVERS) – AVANTI WEST COAST

 

The company has failed to provide any suitable offer for the Driver grades in the ongoing Defend Jobs, Pay and Conditions dispute. The Union’s National Executive Committee has further considered the ballot result and believes that we must now take further industrial action.

 

Therefore, Avanti West Coast Driver members are instructed to take strike action by not booking on for any shifts that commence between:

 

• 0001 Hours and 2359 Hours on Friday 5th April 2024

 

Additionally, the Union’s NEC is calling on members not to undertake any non-contractual overtime. Therefore, Avanti West Coast Driver members are also instructed not to work any voluntary overtime between:

 

• Not to work any overtime between 0001 Hours and 2359 Hours on Thursday 4^th April 2024
• Not to work any overtime between 0001 Hours and 2359 Hours on Saturday 6^th   April 2024
• Not to work any overtime between 0001 Hours on Monday 8^th April 2024 and 2359 Hours on Tuesday 9^th April 2024

 

I ask that you continue to stand shoulder to shoulder during the days of industrial action and that you continue to support your colleagues.
