Our Ref: BR2/10/1

To all Cross Country Trains Driver Members

25th April 2024

Dear RMT Member

DEFEND JOBS, PAY AND CONDITIONS (DRIVERS) – CROSS COUNTRY TRAINS

The company has failed to provide any suitable offer for our Driver grade members in the ongoing dispute to Defend Jobs, Pay and Conditions. The Union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and believes that we must now take further industrial action.

Therefore, all our Cross Country Driver grade members are instructed to take strike action by not booking on for any shifts that commence between:

  • 00.01 Hours and 23.59 Hours on Wednesday 8th May 2024

Additionally, the union’s National Executive Committee is calling on members not to undertake any non-contractual overtime. Therefore, Cross Country Train Driver members are also instructed not to work any overtime between:

  • Not to work any overtime between 00.01 Hours and 23.59 Hours on Tuesday 7th May 2024.
  • Not to work any overtime between 00.01 Hours on Thursday 9th May 2024 and 23.59 Hours on Saturday 11th May 2024.

I ask that you continue to stand shoulder to shoulder during the days of industrial action and that you continue to support your colleagues.

UNITY IS STRENGTH

SUPPORT THE INDUSTRIAL ACTION

Yours sincerely

Michael Lynch
