DEFENDING JOBS, PAY & CONDITIONS - TRAIN OPERATING COMPANIES

 

As I have previously reported, your RMT negotiating team met recently with senior officials from the Department for Transport. 

 

As I also reported to you, at the conclusion of the last meeting, the DfT committed to formulating a definite proposal for us to consider. 

 

I can now advise you that a meeting is to be held between myself and other RMT national officials with the DfT next Tuesday (20^th August) when I expect to receive a full and final offer that can be considered by your union’s National Executive Committee (NEC).

 

I will, of course, advise you of all developments when they arise and after your NEC has considered any proposals tabled.
