Dear Colleague,

DEFERRED IMPLEMENTATION OF AGREED PAY INCREASES GO SOUTH COAST (NATIONAL EXPRESS, MOREBUS & SALISBURY REDS DRIVERS AND ENGINEERING GRADES)

Further to my previous correspondence I write to advise you that there have been developments in the matter of your pay. You negotiating team have attended an Avoidance of Dispute meeting with the company and the outcome is as follows:-

National Express

The company has caved in and has agreed to pay the increase that was due in May and the Sick Pay rate at the agreed 80%. This has been deemed acceptable and the NEC has instructed that we are no longer in dispute. The company has been informed of this and I have requested that the increase is paid at the earliest opportunity.

MoreBus and Salisbury Reds (Wilts & Dorset) (Engineering Grades)

The pay negotiations will start in due course once all other issues are dealt with. The pay increase is due to start in July 2020. Your negotiating team will attend these talks and I will keep you advised of progress in this matter.

MoreBus and Salisbury Reds (Wilts & Dorset) (Drivers)

Go South Coast has confirmed that it will be paying the increase as per the agreed pay offer however it wants to continue discussions around your terms and conditions. It has said that it will honour the terms and conditions but it wishes to defer the implementation date. It has also committed to pay any driver who is not receiving the correct payments and still-owed back pay from the first year of the offer.

In order to have your say on this matter, a special joint branch meeting is going to take place on Sunday 28th June 2020 at 10:30. This will be held by the Zoom medium and you will need the following Zoom details to attend:-

· Joining ID 518 431 0900

· Password GSC2020

Please make every effort to attend, this is your pay deal and you need to have your say on it. On Monday 29th June 2020, your negotiating team has a further Avoidance of Dispute meeting with the management and your views from this special joint branch meeting will be discussed.

I will keep you advised of further developments.

Yours sincerely
