DISMISSAL – R. BROOKS – SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY

Our Ref: BR2/0146

22nd September 2017

Dear Colleague,

LAST CHANCE TO VOTE! - DO NOT WASTE IT
RETURN YOUR VOTING PAPER BY TUESDAY 26TH SEPTEMBER

DISMISSAL – R. BROOKS – SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY

Further to my previous correspondence with regards to the above and where I informed you that you and your colleagues must stand up against the company’s appalling decision to dismiss your colleague, Royston, for simply carrying out his duty as a safety critical guard.

It is imperative that we get a massive return in the ballot. Do not to waste your vote. This is your last chance to defend your colleague. I urge you all to vote ‘YES’ for strike action and ‘YES’ for action short of a strike.

We must send South Western Railway a clear message that we will not allow them to treat your colleague with clear contempt and enforce draconian punishments on you for doing your jobs. There is no doubt that you and your colleagues need to vote YES to both questions in the ballot for industrial action. It is crucial that you return your voting paper by Tuesday 26th September 2017.

If you have not already received your ballot paper, then today is your last chance for a replacement to be sent to your home address. You must urgently contact the RMT Freephone Helpline on 0800 376 3706 or the RMT Switchboard on 020 7387 4771 and a replacement ballot paper will be sent to you by first class post. Additionally, if you are aware of a colleague who has not received their ballot paper, ask them to call the Freephone Helpline or the Switchboard to update their details and to receive a replacement ballot paper.

MAKE SURE YOU VOTE
VOTE ‘YES’ FOR STRIKE ACTION
VOTE ‘YES’ FOR ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE
DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE – THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
