DISMISSAL, IGNATIUS ANDREWS - RAIL GOURMET
Further to my letter dated the 22nd March 2018 with regards to the above matter, I would like to congratulate you for your continued support of Brother Andrews and standing shoulder to shoulder throughout this difficult dispute. The industrial action taken to date has been solidly supported by our Rail Gourmet members.
I can now advise you that a special meeting has taken place on Tuesday 24th April 2018 with your Union Representatives and was well attended by our members. Discussions were held on the dispute situation and our next course of action. It was the general view of those in attendance at the meeting that further industrial action was required in order to put pressure on the company to get Brother Andrews back in employment.
Your union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and believes that in order to achieve justice for Brother Andrews further industrial action is necessary. Therefore, our Rail Gourmet members located at Manchester Piccadilly are instructed to take strike action by not booking on for any shifts that commence between:
• 00.01 Hours and 23.59 Hours on Monday 21st May 2018
Once again, congratulations to our Rail Gourmet members for your show of strength and determination in getting Brother Nathal Ignatius Andrews reinstated.
