FAILURE TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE TRAINING, EP POINTS, SCOTLAND ROUTE – NETWORK RAIL

Our Ref: BR4/11/2

5 February 2020

Dear colleague

FAILURE TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE TRAINING, EP POINTS, SCOTLAND ROUTE – NETWORK RAIL

You and your colleagues in the S&T teams at Glasgow Central and Perth are currently being balloted as a result of Network Rail’s failure to address concerns regarding the company’s complete indifference on its commitment to provide an adequate training package. This commitment was to have seen a package on the table by October 2019 but still nothing has appeared.

This ballot closes next Tuesday (11th February 2020) so if you have not yet received your voting paper, please contact your union’s freephone Helpline on 0800 376 3706 to request a replacement paper. Alternatively, contact RMT switchboard on 020 7387 4771 or email info@rmt.org.uk.

While it is of the utmost importance that members not only vote in high numbers to send a message to management, we also have to meet the government’s stringent anti-union laws so it means that every vote matters.

Please ensure you return your voting paper to the independent scrutineer by no later than first post on Tuesday 11th February 2020 as we cannot allow Tory anti-union laws stop us fighting against unjust employers.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE
RETURN YOUR VOTING PAPER
VOTE YES TO BOTH QUESTIONS ON THE BALLOT PAPER

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
