FAIR CULTURE INVESTIGATIONS & DISCIPLINARY PROCESS – NETWORK RAIL
Further to my email of 7th May 2020 concerning the above matter in which I detailed a major concern for our Signaller members at East Midlands Control Centre, I am writing to provide you with an update on the matter.
Having notified Network Rail that we were in dispute with them on this matter and begun the necessary preparations to conduct the ballot for Industrial Action, correspondence was received from the Company.
Network Rail has proposed a further review of the individual case that has been subject to earlier unfair decisions, a key aspect of the matter, before your Union conducts the ballot. The proposed new review is to be led by the Head of Operations at Derby EMCC and to conclude within three weeks if agreed to by your Union.
The offer has been considered and I have informed Network Rail that our plans to conduct the ballot for Industrial Action will be placed on hold, pending the conclusion of the review within three weeks. Your Union remains in dispute with Network Rail over this matter and in a position of readiness to proceed with the ballot for Industrial Action.
