FLEET DEPOT STRATEGY, WALES AND BORDERS FRANCHISE, KEOLIS AMEY
You will know that a dispute situation was established between your union and Transport for Wales Rail Services over its continued failure to provide reassurances over the future of Fleet Maintenance services and your jobs.
I can now advise you that I served formal notice on the company today that a ballot for strike action and action short of a strike will commence on Thursday 25th April 2019.
I know that some members have been frustrated that this ballot did not commence earlier, but stringent anti-union legislation means very careful checks have to be made to ensure the ballot information is all up to date and correct.
You and your colleagues can send a clear message to management that the concerns you all have for your future employment with TfW Rail Services and on job security, pensions, travel facilities, pay, terms and conditions and on the threat of a two-tier workforce cannot be ignored.
Therefore, look out for your ballot papers and, if you have not received it by 8th May 2019, then contact the members’ helpline on 0800 376 3706 to request a replacement.
