FURLOUGH ARRANGEMENTS – CORONAVIRUS – NOTTINGHAM COMMUNITY TRANSPORT

Our Ref:

Dear colleague

FURLOUGH ARRANGEMENTS – CORONAVIRUS – NOTTINGHAM COMMUNITY TRANSPORT

I am writing with an update following my communication to you on 17th April 2020.

I can now advise you that the company has outlined its Furlough Arrangements and has also addressed some, if not all, safety concerns that you and your colleagues quite rightly had last week.

First of all, your Regional Organiser has reported that the company is enacting the basic furlough scheme of paying 80% of our members’ wages, which is the minimum requirement and which is paid for by the government.

Additionally, there have been some improvements in the safety precautions in place and that the company have approached your representatives and asked to work with this union moving forwards and some progress has already been made in this regard.

These matters have been considered by your union’s National Executive Committee which has instructed me to advise you that, should you have any further safety concerns, to bring them to the attention of your Regional Organiser Stan Herschel. Stan can be contacted at s.herschel@rmt.org.uk or by mobile on 07881828662.

Thanks for your patience in this matter and hopefully this has addressed the very understandable concerns which your had last week and which I outlined previously.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
