TO ALL RMT MEMBERS AT BRYLAINE TRAVEL
FURLOUGH LEAVE – BRYLAINE TRAVEL
Your Regional Organiser, along with your representatives, have made numerous attempts to speak to the senior management of Brylaine Travel over recent weeks.
A temporary arrangement to enabling furloughing of staff will be put in place alongside a range of Health and Safety Measures for Drivers.
It should be note that the Furloughing measures being put in place are not consistent with the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (‘Furlough Scheme’) as the Company are calculating pay on the previous 12 weeks, this may be beneficial in many cases as rates were lower prior to October last year.
If you have queries about the measures that you feel the company are adequately answering please contact either your Representative or Regional Officer who can raise these on your behalf.
I trust this keeps you fully advised on the matter and I will, of course, keep you informed on any further developments.
