FURLOUGH LEAVE – GO SOUTH COAST

Our Ref B/8/2

3rd April 2020

TO ALL RMT MEMBERS AT GO SOUTH COAST

Dear Colleagues

FURLOUGH LEAVE – GO SOUTH COAST

Since my last letter to you advising that the Union had made no agreements with the company over furlough leave, and advising you to sign the furlough leave agreement document “under duress”, I am pleased to report that your Regional Organiser and Local Representatives have had a meeting with senior management of Go South Coast Group and made significant process. I am therefore pleased to report that temporary agreements have now been made for the duration of the COVID 19 emergency.

Agreements have been made regarding matrix, to ensure there is fair selection process for which members will be placed on furlough leave.

An amended furlough acceptance form has been agreed and will be issued to you for signature. If you signed the old form, we advise you to retract this agreement and supersede it by signing the amended form.

The agreements in principle between Go South Coast and the RMT, which can be found attached, include weekly conference calls between us, and will provide opportunity for any issues to be raised and resolved in a collaborate approach.

We thank all members for their understanding in these unprecedented times.

If you do have any issues, please speak to one of your local representatives or contact your Regional Organiser.

I trust this keeps you fully advised on the matter and I will, of course, keep you informed on any further developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
