IMPOSITION OF MERLIN SYSTEM – MITIE (NETWORK RAIL MANAGED STATIONS CONTRACT)
Further to my previous correspondence with regards to the above dispute and where I informed you that the union’s National Executive Committee had taken the decision to ballot all our Mitie members on the Network Rail managed stations contract for industrial action, following the company’s decision to impose the Merlin system without proper consultation and negotiation with the RMT.
I can now advise you that the ballot matrix checks are complete and the ballot for strike action and industrial action short of a strike, in the form of our Mitie members not to use the Merlin System, will open on Thursday 7th March 2024 and will close on Thursday 28th March 2024.
If you have not received a ballot paper by Wednesday 13th March 2024 then please contact the RMT Freephone Helpline urgently on 0800 376 3706 or email info@rmt.org.uk where a replacement ballot paper will be sent to your home address by first class post. Additionally, if you are aware of a colleague who has not received their ballot paper, please ask them to call the Helpline number above to update their details and to receive a replacement ballot paper.
