INCREASED SECURITY PATROLS – MITIE SECURITY (TFL/LUL CONTRACT)

 

The Union is aware that Mitie plans to increase security patrols from 3 to 7 per shift. There are no associated plans to support affected members and the Union believes that such an increase will lead to an overloaded workforce, risking detriments to members health and safety and the security of all staff and the travelling public.

 

This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee and I have written to Mitie to demand that these increases in workload and changes to working practices are discussed and negotiated with the Union and not simply implemented by the Company.
