DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE – RETURN YOUR VOTING PAPER

Dear Colleague,

INTRODUCTION OF NEW DOO ROUTES – GREATER ANGLIA

I write further to my letter dated 25th August 2017, in which I advised you that you and your colleagues are being balloted for strike action and industrial action short of a strike against the company’s lack of guarantees regarding the safety critical Role of the Guard.

Ballot papers will have now been sent out to your home addresses and will need to be returned before the closing date of First Post, Tuesday 12th September 2017.

It is imperative that you use your vote to ensure we are able to act on your wishes and defend the safety critical Role of the Guard and say no to any extension of DOO. I urge you all to vote ‘Yes’ to both questions and ensure that we get a massive turnout in this ballot. We must send Greater Anglia a clear message that we will not tolerate their disregard for you and your colleagues and that we will do everything possible to defend jobs.

If you have not already received a ballot paper then please contact the RMT Freephone Helpline urgently on 0800 376 3706 or the RMT Switch Board on 020 7387 4771 and ask for the industrial relations department, where a replacement ballot paper will be sent to you by first class post. Additionally, if you are aware of a colleague who has not received their ballot paper, ask them to call on one of the above numbers to update their details and to receive a replacement ballot paper.

MAKE SURE YOU VOTE
VOTE ‘YES’ FOR STRIKE ACTION
VOTE ‘YES’ FOR ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE
DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE – RETURN YOUR VOTING PAPER

Yours sincerely
