INTRODUCTION OF NEW JOB DESCRIPTIONS, CLAPHAM YARD – SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY

 

I write with regards to the above matter and to inform you that I have received a report from the Lead Officer, together with various Job Descriptions from the company, indicating that the Fleet Company Council have been in discussions with South Western Railway over changes to Job Descriptions at Clapham Yard. 

 

The matter has been considered by the union’s National Executive Committee and I have been instructed to inform the company of our acceptance of the new Job Description for Clapham Depot Controller and the new grading of MB3. 

 

However, the RMT rejects the new Job Description for Shunters and further negotiations will need to take place for this grade. The Lead Officer will place an updated report back before the Executive Committee following conclusion of negotiations with the company.
