INTRODUCTION OF REVENUE OFFICER – NORTHERN TRAINS

 

I write with regards to the above matter and to inform you that negotiations have been held with your Station & Retail Employee Council and Northern Trains and I am pleased to inform you that I have received a précis of the company’s new proposed position.

 

The union’s National Executive Committee recognises that the introduction of the new role of Revenue Officer will be taken from within the existing Loss Prevention Officer establishment and is a promotion in grade from RO2 to RO2S.

 

Therefore, the Executive Committee has instructed me to hold an electronic referendum so that you and your colleagues can have your say on this offer. Your union’s National Executive Committee recommends acceptance of the companies offer.

 

In order to get a quick turnaround and bearing in mind the current Coronavirus situation, we are running this referendum electronically on this occasion. A full copy of Northern Trains ‘Introduction of new role Revenue Officer’ précis is available on the voting site and I urge you to take part in this referendum.

You will shortly receive an email from a company called “Election Runner” which will allow you to register your vote. Please follow the instructions and make sure you complete this by no later than 10.00 am on Tuesday 11th August 2020 when voting closes.
