To all Rail Gourmet Members on the TPE Contract at Liverpool Lime Street
Our Ref: HC/9/18
20th November 2019
LOSS OF PAY/ANNUAL LEAVE, STATION CLOSURE – RAIL GOURMET (TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS CONTRACT)
Further to my letter dated the 30th October 2019 with regards to the above matter, I can now advise you that further discussions have been held with management and your Union Representatives have indicated that the company has tabled a proposal which addresses our members concerns.
Therefore, I can convey that no member is required to take unpaid leave, annual leave or make hours up during the Liverpool Lime Street blockade which took place on the 2nd and 3rd November 2019. The company also made alternative transport arrangements for affected members to work at Manchester within their contractual hours.
Your union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and notes that suitable arrangements have been made to make sure no member on the TPE Rail Gourmet contract will be required to take any unpaid leave or annual leave during the Liverpool Lime Street blockade.
On behalf of myself and the Executive Committee, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Union Representatives for all their hard work and efforts in bringing this matter to a satisfactory conclusion.
I trust this keeps you fully advised on the matter.
