To All Cross Country Senior Conductor & Train Manager Grade RMT Members
Our Ref: BR2/14/1
5th September 2024
LAST CHANCE TO VOTE
PLEASE RETURN YOUR BALLOT PAPER BY
THURSDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER 2024
Dear RMT Member
MANAGERS WORKING AS GUARDS - CROSS COUNTRY TRAINS
You and your colleagues should now have received a ballot paper for the above dispute. If you have not yet done so, please make sure you return your ballot paper to the scrutineer by the closing date of Thursday 12th September 2024.
If you have not received your ballot paper, please email us at info@rmt.org.uk or contact the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 and a replacement ballot paper will be sent out to your home address by first class post.
Do not waste your vote. It is imperative that we get a massive return in the ballot for industrial action, so we are not prevented from acting on our members’ wishes by the ballot thresholds.Failure to meet these thresholds means industrial action cannot happen, so a high turnout is absolutely crucial.
This ballot is over managers working as contingency Guards and the unfair premiums being paid for carrying out this work. Vote 'YES' for strike action and ‘YES’ for industrial action short of a strike. We must stand united and send a clear message to Cross Country Trains that we will not allow them to create a two-tier workforce.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE – RETURN YOUR BALLOT PAPER
VOTE ‘YES’ TO BOTH QUESTIONS
I will, of course, keep you fully advised on any further developments.
Yours sincerely
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
