REMINDER TO VOTE

PLEASE RETURN YOUR BALLOT PAPER

BY NO LATER THAN THURSDAY 8TH AUGUST 2024

Dear RMT Member

OPERATIONAL DUTIES, TRAIN MANAGERS - AVANTI WEST COAST

All Avanti West Coast Train Manager grade members should now have received their ballot paper for the above dispute, from the independent scrutineer Civica. If you have not yet done so, please make sure you return your ballot paper to the scrutineer by the closing date of Thursday 8th August 2024.

If you have not received your ballot paper or if you know of a colleague who has not received theirs, please email us ballot@rmt.org.uk or contact the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 and a replacement ballot paper will be sent out to your home address by first class post.

Do not waste your vote. It is imperative that we get a massive return in the ballot for industrial action so that we are not prevented from acting on our members’ wishes by the ballot thresholds. Failure to meet these thresholds means industrial action cannot happen so a high turnout is absolutely crucial.

Your RMT Train Manager Company Council Reps want to negotiate a deal on Operational Duties, including a proper training plan for shunting and coupling and for a plan on diagrams and clear working instructions on the train preparation of Hitachi Units. The only way we can force management to negotiate sensibly on this issue is by voting ‘YES’ in the ballot for industrial action.

I urge you all to use your vote. Help strengthen the hands of your union’s Negotiating Team by voting ‘YES’ in the ballot.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE – RETURN YOUR BALLOT PAPER

VOTE ‘YES’ FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION

VOTE YES FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE

Yours sincerely
