PAY & CONTRACT MATTERS – EAST MIDLANDS TRAINS

Our Ref: BR2/10/2

25th June 2019

Dear Colleague

PAY & CONTRACT MATTERS – EAST MIDLANDS TRAINS
USE YOUR VOTE AND RETURN YOUR BALLOT PAPER BY 2ND JULY 2019

All EMT Senior Conductor members should have now received their ballot paper for the above dispute. If you have not done so already, please make sure you return your voting paper to reach the Scrutineer by the closing date of Tuesday 2nd July 2019.

The company’s lack of commitment to deal with our concerns over contractual issues such as compulsory Sunday Working, Wage Discrimination and Pink Days is a total disgrace. Please return your ballot paper immediately to show EMT management that their behaviour towards you and your union will not be tolerated.

If you have not received your ballot paper please call the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 or Head Office Reception on 0207 387 4771 and ask for the Industrial Relations Department where a replacement voting paper will be sent to your home address. It is imperative that we get a massive return in the ballot for industrial action so we are not prevented from acting on our members’ wishes by the new ballot thresholds.

I urge you not to waste your vote and to vote ‘YES’ FOR STRIKE ACTION AND ‘YES’ FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE to make sure management resolve these very important issues properly and without delay.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE – RETURN YOUR VOTING PAPER
VOTE ‘YES’ FOR STRIKE ACTION AND ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE

I will, of course, keep you fully advised on any further developments.

Best wishes.

Mick Cash
General Secretary
