PAY & CONTRACT MATTERS – EAST MIDLANDS TRAINS
I wrote to you on 21st May 2019 outlining the reasons why your union had entered a dispute with East Midlands Trains over a number of issues involving Pay and Contract Matters.
I can now advise you that I formally informed East Midlands Trains of a notice of ballot and that the voting papers will be sent out in the post tomorrow (Wednesday 12th June 2019). I would therefore urge you to look out for the voting papers in the post and ensure they are returned by first post on Tuesday 2nd July 2019.
If you do not receive your ballot paper by Friday 21st June 2019 then contact the members Helpline on 0800 376 3706 to request a replacement.
As you know, EMT has been deliberately dragging its heels over the concerns raised by your union and it is imperative that a message is sent to management that these delaying tactics are completely unacceptable. I would therefore urge you to vote YES and tell the company that its negative strategy is not working and has to stop or strike action will inevitably follow.
