PROTEST OUTSIDE MANCHESTER VICTORIA STATION ON WEDNESDAY 10TH APRIL BETWEEN 7AM AND 9AM

8th April 2019

Dear Colleague,

PAY CYCLE REVIEW, PROJECT GREENFIELD – ISS

As you are aware, ISS are currently attempting to change the terms and conditions of you and your colleagues. The company are trying to push through their plans and are attempting to force you and your colleagues into accepting changes to your terms, conditions and pay.

Currently, members work 5 days paid in arrears, with the company trying to force members into accepting 11 days’ pay owed in arrears. This would mean that what should be paid as wages will be paid as a loan and then clawed back by ISS. Wages owed will then be paid back only when you leave the company. This will create significant hardship for you and your colleagues. These proposals will also see an impact on your other finances, such as an impact to Universal Credit Welfare Payments. The company have given no consideration to the effect it will have on you and your colleagues, especially as there hasn’t been sufficient time to change outgoing direct debit payments, which could result in additional financial charges.   The proposals by ISS are irresponsible and completely unnecessary. Therefore, the union is holding a protest on Wednesday 10th April outside Manchester Victoria station between 7am and 9am.

All Members are encouraged to attend to demonstrate our strength of feeling against these reckless proposals. I urge as many of you as possible to attend the protest and to stand shoulder to shoulder against a company that clearly has no respect or concern for its staff.

WEDNESDAY 10TH APRIL OUTSIDE MANCHESTER VICTORIA STATION BETWEEN 7AM AND 9AM.

UNITY IS STRENGTH

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
