PAY UPDATE - TRAIN OPERATING COMPANIES

 

I realise that many of you are disappointed and frustrated at the lack of progress being made on pay with the Train Operating Companies. 

 

Despite the frequent contacts we are having with DfT officials on the proposals that are due to come to us, they have not received the government approvals that they need to make the proposals formally in writing.

 

I have been assured that the proposals that will be made are of equal value to those that have been set out in other forums.

 

The other rail unions are all in the same position and none have received the written documentation that is needed to move forward.  This applies to both the drivers and the all-grades bargaining groups

 

Communication relating to this matter will firstly come from the official RMT text and email account and not via social media platforms. 

 

As soon as the Union has received any documentation and the NEC has considered the proposals, I will update you immediately.
