PAYMENT FOR GLASSES, SENIOR CONDUCTORS – WEST MIDLANDS TRAINS

 

Further to my previous correspondence with regards to the above matter and where I informed you that this item would be discussed at the next Joint Safety Committee meeting in an attempt to get parity across all grades. I can now advise you that the JSC has been held and I have received an update report from the Lead Officer. 

 

The union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and notes that the issue of differing standards across the grade groups was raised at the JSC held on Tuesday 23^rd April 2024. However, despite the Lead Officer’s endeavours to resolve the matter in pursuing parity and equality regarding the standard of glasses issued across grades, this issue remains unresolved.

 

Therefore, the Lead Officer will continue to work with the company on this matter and place further updates on the situation back before the union’s National Executive Committee, as and when they arise.
