Promotion to Chief Engineer, Portsmouth to Fishbourne Route - Wightlink Ltd

 

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you for returning a magnificent result in the ballot. You have given your union a mandate to push forward in this dispute. I can report that the union’s negotiating team are due to meet with Wightlink on 31^st July 2024 to discuss this matter. 

 

To ensure that maximum pressure is placed on Wightlink ahead of these negotiations, your union’s National Executive Committee is calling on all RMT Chief Engineers and Engineer Officers on the Portsmouth to Fishbourne Route to take the following industrial action:

 

From 00:01 hours on Monday 5^th August 2024 until further notice members are instructed:

 

• Not to work any overtime 
• Not to work on a rest day 
• Not to work any higher grading 
• Not to carry out training and/or familiarisation

 

I will, of course, keep you fully advised on any further developments.
