DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE – RETURN YOUR VOTING PAPER

Dear Colleague,

PROPOSED REDUNDANCIES, CCTV STAFF, PAISLEY & DUNFERMLINE - SCOTRAIL

I write further to my letter dated 22nd August 2017, in which I advised you that you and your colleagues are being balloted for strike action and industrial action short of a strike against the company’s proposals to remove 22 CCTV staff at Paisley and Dunfermline.

Ballot papers will have now been sent out to your home addresses and will need to be returned before the closing date of First Post, Tuesday 12th September 2017.

It is imperative that you use your vote to ensure we are able to act on your wishes and to ensure that we can send Scotrail a clear message that we will not allow them to destroy these vital jobs. I urge you all to vote ‘Yes’ to both questions and ensure that we get a massive turnout in this ballot. We cannot tolerate the company’s agenda and their attempt at redundancy by stealth.

If you have not already received a ballot paper then please contact the RMT Freephone Helpline urgently on 0800 376 3706 or the RMT Switch Board on 020 7387 4771 and ask for the industrial relations department, where a replacement ballot paper will be sent to you by first class post. Additionally, if you are aware of a colleague who has not received their ballot paper, ask them to call on one of the above numbers to update their details and to receive a replacement ballot paper.

MAKE SURE YOU VOTE
VOTE ‘YES’ FOR STRIKE ACTION
VOTE ‘YES’ FOR ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE
DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE – RETURN YOUR VOTING PAPER

Yours sincerely
