Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2019 – Arriva Rail North
Referring to my previous correspondence where I advised you of the referendum result, I write to you again to update you on the latest developments. The company have been informed of your overwhelming rejection of their pay offer and on the back of this result; they requested your union enter into talks again.
During these negotiations, the company made another three offers, all of which were rejected by your representatives. After a lengthy adjournment, the company came back with the following offer:-
- A 3% increase to basic rates of pay, backdated to 7th April 2019 or a flat rate increase of £800, whichever is greater.
The NEC has considered the offer and, acting on the unanimous recommendation of your negotiators, it has instructed me to inform the company of our acceptance. As we have informed the company of the acceptance before the end of this week, it has stated that you should receive your back pay in your November pay cycle.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your outstanding resolve to fight for a better deal and your refusal to be pushed into accepting a sub-standard offer.
