RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2017 – ARRIVA TRAINCARE

You will have now received a letter from management advising you the forthcoming ballot for industrial action may be ‘unlawful’. This is totally untrue and for them to put this in a letter is either a deliberate attempt to interfere with your right to take industrial action or gross incompetence. Either way ignore this ridiculous statement.

You have the right to vote for industrial action and the company has been informed in accordance with legislation.

Rather than arguing about side issues, management should be getting around the table with the RMT to try and resolve this matter.

Ballot papers will be despatched to your home address this Wednesday (12th April 2017).

I urge you to vote YES for strike action and YES for action short of a strike. The only way to achieve a fair and decent pay award in 2017 is to vote YES to both questions in the ballot.
