RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2018 – VINCI (ARRIVA RAIL LONDON CONTRACT)
As you might be aware, because of the changes in the 2016 Trade Union Act it has become necessary to re-ballot you and your colleagues for strike action.
Therefore, your union's National Executive Committee has recently considered the matter and taken the decision to re-ballot all our Vinci Cleaner members so that we can continue with the pay dispute.
Your union is asking you to return a massive YES vote just as you did in the previous ballot to help your union keep up the fight for pay justice. Only by returning a massive YES vote can we heap more pressure on management and bring this dispute to a speedy resolve.
The ballot for industrial action will open on Wednesday 22nd May 2019. Ballot papers will be sent to your home address shortly after this date and I urge you to vote YES for STRIKE ACTION when you receive your voting paper. Do not waste your vote. If you have not received your ballot paper by Tuesday 28th May 2019 please contact the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 and request a replacement voting paper. Alternatively, you may wish to contact RMT Head Office Reception on 0207 387 4771 and ask for the Industrial Relations Department.
Additionally, Vinci members might be interested in attending a demonstration to raise awareness of another pay dispute at London Overground. RMT members will be protesting outside Transport for London’s Head Office, Palestra House, 197 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NJ from 10am on Thursday 16th May 2019 in a show of solidarity with our brothers and sisters at STM who are also fighting for pay justice
