Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2018 - East Midlands Trains – Fleet Grades
Referring to my previous correspondence of 17th October 2018, I write to advise you that the consultation of your reps has concluded and the matter has been considered once more by your National Executive Committee (NEC).
The NEC has instructed me to inform the company of our acceptance of the offer. This instruction has been carried out and I have requested that the increase and the back monies are paid at the earliest opportunity.
For ease of reference the accepted offer is as follows:-
Final Offer -2018 Pay Award
•A final ‘no productivity items’ offer is to increase base salaries by 3.6% or £650 if greater, and to increase all allowances by 3.6%. These increases, if agreed, will take effect from 1st April 2018.
•As previously stated, RPI was 3.6% in February 2018 and in accordance with the rules of the East Midlands Section of Railway Pensions Scheme, a pension pay cap of 4.15% applies to all increases in pensionable pay between 1st April 2018 and the 31st March 2019.
•The Derby Re-Signalling project, which resulted in significant disruption throughout the Derby blockade period, is now ended. In appreciation of the contribution made by members in making this project a success, the company is proposing to make a one-off non-contractual and discretionary bonus award of £200 gross. This bonus award would be subject to statutory deductions for tax and National Insurance.
