To ALL STM Travel Safe Officers members on the ARL contract
Our Ref: BR1/0001/STM(ARL) 29th April 2019
FURTHER STRIKE ACTION CALLED AT STM
Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2018 – STM (Arriva Rail London Contract)
Despite our best efforts to seek a resolution to this dispute, negotiations have proved to have been unproductive. A further meeting was arranged but did not take place with the company stating that nothing had changed and there was nothing more to offer you and your colleagues.
Your union’s National Executive Committee has considered this outrageous behaviour of the company and it taken the decision to call on all STM Travel Safe Officer members on the ARL contract to take further industrial action by NOT BOOKING ON FOR ANY SHIFTS THAT COMMENCE BETWEEN:-
• 00:01 HOURS AND 23:59 HOURS ON THURSDAY 16TH MAY 2019
Additionally, further industrial action short of strike action has been called in the following manner:-
• NOT TO TAP IN/OUT AT ANY LOCATIONS WHILST ON DUTY FOR ANY SHIFTS FROM 00.01 HOURS MONDAY 13TH MAY 2019 UNTIL 23.59 HOURS SATURDAY 18TH MAY 2019 INCLUSIVE.
I urge you all to take part in this further action, only by a show of strength and solidarity will be able to show this penny-pinching management that you will not be bullied into accepting their miserly offer. A demonstration is planned outside TFL Headquarters as it is they who are holding the purse strings, I will keep you advised of the date and time.
The company are aware that as always, RMT remains available for talks and is ready to enter into negotiations at any time in order resolve the current dispute.
STAND FIRM TOGETHER – SUPPORT THE STRIKE UNITY IS STRENGTH
Yours sincerely Mick Cash General Secretary
