Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2018 – South Western Railways
Referring to my previous correspondence where I informed you of the referendum result, I write to you again to inform you of further developments.
I have received correspondence from the company stating that there will be no further offers. However, they have also stated that they would be willing to enter into fresh negotiations with a provision to include productivity as part of talks.
I have contacted the company and have notified management that we would be willing to discuss productivity in line with that which has been given to our sister union which increased their pay by 0.5%, giving them an increase of 4.1% for 2018 and we will be asking for full details of this offer as it is our belief that there was no productivity. In fact, their DFC states in a newsletter that a one-year straight pay deal was agreed.
Additionally, the company has been advised of our insistence that 2019 pay talks must be held in line with the 1996 agreements.
I will keep you updated of all further developments.
