Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2019 – Pullman Rail
Negotiations have been on-going for some time over the matter of your pay rise. Despite your union’s best efforts, the company has dragged its heels and has finally made the following offer:-
• A 2.5 % increase effective from 6th April 2019
• Increase in the enhancement payable for bank holiday working from basic rate to time and a half, members will also continue to receive a day off in lieu.
Having taken into consideration the views of your Lead Officer and elected Representatives, the union’s National Executive Committee has considered the matter and has instructed me to inform the company of our rejection and to hold a ballot for strike action and action short of a strike of you and your colleagues. Pullman Rail has been informed of our rejection of this offer and that a dispute situation now exists between our organisations.
Ballot papers will be dispatched as soon as the record updates have been completed. Alternatively, you can speak to any of your RMT representatives or contact our Regional Office in Bristol on 0117 925 5018.
Once you have received your ballot paper, I urge you to complete and return it in the freepost envelope provided as soon as possible. You will be asked to vote for both strike action and industrial action short of a strike – Vote ‘YES’ to both questions.
