RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 – CLARKE CHAPMAN FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

 

Further to my letter dated 9th May 2019, in which I advised you of the result of the pay referendum. I can report that the union’s negotiating team has had fresh talks with Clarke Chapman Facilities Management and a revised offer of 3% was tabled. Following a workplace consultation, you and your colleagues indicated that the revised offer still does not meet with your aspirations. 

 

Having taken into consideration the views of your Lead Officer and elected Representatives, the union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and has instructed me to hold a ballot for industrial action of you and your colleagues to force the Clarke Chapman Facilities Management back to negotiations so they can table an improved offer which would represent a significant financial increase to your pay and genuine enhancements to your terms and conditions.

 

In line with this instruction, on Thursday 13th June 2019 the independent scrutineer will send a ballot paper to your home address and the ballot will close on Thursday 4th July 2019. I urge you to complete and return your ballot paper in the freepost envelope provided as soon as you receive it. You will be asked to vote for both strike action and industrial action short of a strike – I urge you to vote ‘YES’ to both.
