RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 – GEMINI RAIL
Further to previous correspondence on the above matter, I can advise you that fresh talks have been convened and the following offer has been tabled:-
· A one-off payment of £350 for each employee for 2019.
· A 2% salary increase from 1st January 2020 and a further 0.5% salary increase from 1st April 2020. This will be paid in the April payroll.
Talks for the 2021 pay award will recommence in October 2020.
In addition to the above, the company wishes to implement a new shift pattern which will allow the following:-
· 37 hour working week
· Paid tea breaks (including Fridays)
· Seamless shift change over times.
Furthermore, the company will take a pragmatic view on any instances of absence directly related to Covid-19. As long as employees follow the Public Health England guidelines, instances of absence directly relating to Covid-19 will be omitted from any systems in place to monitor absence behavior.
