RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2019 – ISS (KAD SECURITY CONTRACT)

In line with union policy a claim was submitted for a substantial increase in rates of pay and improvements to conditions of service. Following talks with the company the following proposal has been tabled which covers the period 1st April 2019 until 31st March 2020. The proposals cover Travel Safe Officers and Supervisors, Depot Guarding staff and Supervisors, Revenue Protection staff and Supervisors. Following 31st March 2020 any subsequent pay rise will be dealt with by joint negotiations. Back-Pay will be forthcoming and payable from 1st April 2019: -

The above increases represent a 3.4% uplift to wages. These rates of pay will also cover staff undertaking ad-hoc work within the specific roles. Bank Holiday payments will continue to be at twice the normal rate for each role. On-going discussions, around staff Assault pay will be resumed, as and when a suitable date is identified.

After careful consideration, the union’s National Executive Committee has instructed me to inform the company of our acceptance of the offer. This instruction has been carried out and I have requested that the increase and any back monies are paid at the earliest opportunity.
