Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2019 - Mitie (Merseyrail Soft Services Contract)

Due to the rather difficult circumstances we are facing at moment, it has not been possible to conclude the referendum in the normal manner. The NEC has considered the matter and acting on a report from your Lead Officer, it has instructed that the offer should be accepted without delay. For reference, the accepted offer is the one that you were asked to vote on in the referendum and it as follows:-

Cleaning & Administration Grades

· 24 Cleaning Grades on £8.40 per hour. From 1st July 2019, a 3.57% increase taking the rate to £8.70 per hour, followed from 1st April 2020, a 3.45% increase taking the rate to £9.00 per hour.
· 1 Administration Grade on £8.49 per hour. From 1st July 2019, a 2.47% increase taking the rate to £8.70 per hour followed from 1st April 2020, a 3.45% increase taking the rate to £9.00 per hour.
· 11 Cleaning Grades on £8.54 per hour. From 1st July 2019, a 1.88% increase taking the rate to £8.70 per hour followed from 1st April 2020, a 3.45% increase taking the rate to £9.00 per hour.
· 1 Cleaning Grade on £8.64 per hour. From 1st July 2019, a 1.85% increase taking the rate to £8.80 per hour followed from 1st April 2020, a 2.27% increase taking the rate to £9.00 per hour.
· Any Cleaner or Supervisor on rates of pay currently above £9.00 per hour will receive 3% from 1st July 2019, followed by a further 2% from 1st April 2020.

Overtime Rates

· Cleaning Grades currently £11.69 per hour will increase to £11.74 per hour from 1st July 2019 and then £11.94 from 1st April 2020
· Supervisor Grades currently £13.33 per hour will increase to £13.50 per hour from 1st July 2019 and then £13.70 from 1st April 2020.

The next negotiations will be for 1st July 2020.

The company has been informed of our acceptance and I have requested that the increase and the back monies are paid at the earliest opportunity.
