Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2019 - Mitie (Merseyrail Contract, Soft Services)
Further to my previous correspondence where I informed you that we had gone into dispute with the company after they reneged on the pay offer which we had accepted in good faith, I write to you again to update you on the latest developments.
Your Lead Officer has been corresponding with the company and I am pleased to inform you that the company has caved in and has said that they will now honour the accepted pay offer. Your National Executive Committee (NEC) re-considered the matter and it has instructed me to inform the company that a dispute situation no longer exists between our organisations.
The increase will be paid at the earliest opportunity but due to the current circumstances, Mitie have said that they would not be able to access all the time sheets on which the back pay will be based.
However they have said that they will make a rough calculation so that some back pay can be paid to all and they will confirm a date at the earliest opportunity. Once the company offices are open again, a review will take place and any anomalies will be remedied and members will be advised accordingly.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your willingness to stand up and fight for what is rightfully your pay increase.
