Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2019 – UK Bulk Handling Services
In line with union policy, a pay claim for an increase in pay and improved terms and conditions was submitted to the company. The Regional Organiser has met with them and the following pay offer has been tabled:-
• A 3.3% increase to salaries across all positions backdated from 1st October 2018.
• An extra day of annual leave increasing the entitlement to 29 days per leave year.
• A commitment to enter an agreement in respect of Holiday Pay Allowance.
• The current 5 Grade structure will be formally changed to 2, this means the lower paid Grades of A3, A4 and A5 will be removed and a minimum entry level of A2.
After careful consideration, the union's National Executive Committee has instructed me to inform the company of our acceptance of the offer. This instruction has been carried out and I have requested that the increase and any back monies are paid at the earliest opportunity.
