Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2019 – Virgin Trains West Coast
Pay negotiations have concluded and the following offer has tabled by the company:-
•An increase in all salaries of 3% or £750 (whichever is greater) applicable to all dynamic allowances and applicable from the 1st April 2019 pay anniversary.
•An increase in the allocation of Friends & Family tickets from 6 per employee to 10. It should be noted that 6 Friends & Family tickets were issued on 1st April 2019 so an additional 4 will be issued in due course.
•Restrictions that currently prevent employees receiving a Plus 1 card when their spouse/partner is a Virgin Trains employee, to be removed.
It was also agreed that a meeting with Train Manager Council would be arranged to confirm commission arrangements; and a meeting of FTOs, Chairs & Secretaries to confirm the way ill-health retirement packages (applicable to all grades) are calculated.
Your union’s National Executive Committee (NEC) has carefully considered the proposal and it has instructed me to inform the company of our acceptance of the offer. This instruction has been carried out and I have requested that the increase and back monies are paid at the earliest opportunity.
