12th February 2021
Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2020 – Unipart Rail Doncaster
Referring to my previous correspondence dated 21st January 2021, I write to inform you that the record checks have been completed and the relevant ballot notice has been served on your employer in line with current legislation.
The ballot will open on Thursday 18th February 2021 and you will need to ensure you return your voting paper by no later than first post on Thursday 11th March 2021. In the ballot you will be asked to vote for strike action and action short of strike action and I urge you to vote 'YES' to both questions.
As I am sure you are all too aware, it is vital that we achieve the highest possible turnout and the highest possible vote saying 'YES' for both types of action, as the government's very stringent anti-union laws means that every vote counts. Therefore, when you receive your voting paper make sure you return it to the independent scrutineer as quickly as possible.
Important Please Note: The independent scrutineer for RMT Ballots and Elections is now 'Civica Election Services' and not the 'Electoral Reform Society'. Letters from Civica are not Junk Mail and should be opened.
If you know of a colleague who is eligible to vote in this ballot and they have not received their ballot paper by Monday 1st March 2021, please ask them to contact the helpline on 0800 376 3706 or they can email their request to firstname.lastname@example.org
I trust this keeps you fully advised on the matter
