Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2020/21 – Transport for Wales
Referring to my previous correspondence dated 22nd October 2020, I wrote to update you on the latest developments in the matter of your pay increase.
Your negotiators have met several times with the company to put pressure on it to make an offer and I am happy to inform you that the following offer has been tabled:-
A no-strings increase of 1%, effective 1st July 2020
Your National Executive Committee (NEC) has carefully considered the offer and it has instructed me to accept the offer without the need for a referendum. This instruction has been carried out and I have requested that the increase and back monies are paid at the earliest opportunity.
However, due to the current pay freeze, the company has stated that any increase for 2021 would have be self-funding in the form of productivity measures, this is totally unacceptable to your union. It will be made clear to the company that we reject this pay freeze and that we reserve the right to send a pay claim for 2021/22. Any productivity negotiations will be dealt with as a separate matter to the pay claim.
