RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2021 – STADLER RAIL (MERSEYRAIL CONTRACT)

In line with Union Policy, a pay submission for an increase in pay and improved terms and conditions has been submitted. The Regional Organiser has met with the company and it has been made very clear to your union that they are not going to table a pay offer for you and your colleagues.
To make it very clear to you, the company is outside of the Department of Transport imposed industry-wide two-year pay freeze. It does not apply to employers outside of the public sector, so there is no excuse not to offer a pay rise.

After long and careful consideration, your union’s National Executive Committee (NEC) has instructed me to hold a referendum so you and your colleagues can decide if you wish to be balloted for industrial action over the company’s refusal to table a pay deal. Should you and your colleagues chose to vote for industrial action in this referendum, we will proceed straight to a ballot. Your Stadler Rail colleagues on the Tyne & Wear Metro contract have already delivered a mandate for industrial action and are due to take their action very shortly.

Referendum Instructions

You will shortly receive an email from a company called “Choice Voting” which will allow you to register your vote. Please follow the instructions and make sure you complete this by no later than 10:30 on Tuesday 29th June 2021. Once you have voted, you will receive an email from Choice Voting confirming how you have voted and that your vote has been cast successfully.
