RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2020/21 – STAGECOACH BUS COMPANIES

RMT members in Mansfield and Worksop have voted overwhelmingly to take industrial action in their fight for pay justice. The RMT remains in dispute with Stagecoach in the East Midlands, West Country and in Wessex over pay. Ballot papers will be despatched to RMT members in bus garages across these regions in the coming weeks.

As you will be aware Stagecoach are imposing poverty wages on you and your colleagues. The time has come to now say that enough is enough. Your patience over this matter is at an end and there are no more excuses to be made. You kept the company running during the coronavirus pandemic; therefore, you deserve a fair and proper pay rise which recognises all the hard work you have undertaken for Stagecoach.

When you receive your ballot paper, I urge you all to vote for industrial action just like your colleagues in Mansfield and Worksop. Unity is strength!

Record updates are taking place and I would be grateful if members could ensure that the RMT has the correct contact details (i.e. email, postal address, mobile number) and employment details (i.e. workplace and grade) for you by logging onto the members area of the website or alternatively you can e-mail us at info@rmt.org.uk or call the Freephone helpline on 0800 376 3706. Furthermore, this is a very difficult time for all bus workers, so if you are aware of any non-union members within your workplace, please feel free to encourage them to join the RMT so they can receive union protection going forward.
